About the Position:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Change Analyst to support the Patriot Connect Organization Change Management team. Patriot Connect is George Mason University's program focused on transforming the student lifecycle through the enhancement of processes and technology - including implementing and maintaining the university's system for student engagement. The ideal candidate should be comfortable identifying, capturing, and tracking change requirements, action items, and risks/issues. This role will also contribute to communication efforts through tools like WordPress, while leveraging tools such as Agile Accelerator, Smartsheet, MS Teams, and SharePoint to support project documentation and schedules.

Responsibilities:



  • Attends and documents project and stakeholder meetings, capturing notes, changing requirements/items, risks, decisions, and action items;
  • Maintains trackers and reports utilizing Agile Accelerator, Smartsheet, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Supports internal communication efforts by updating change-related content on the Patriot Connect program website, MS Teams, and documentation;
  • Organizes and maintains version-controlled documentation accessible to relevant stakeholders; and
  • Proactively follows-up on outstanding tasks and escalates action items, issues, or risks as appropriate.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Some considerable experience (generally 2-3 years) with business analysis, change management, or related field;
  • Basic understanding of Organizational Change Management frameworks and/or desire to make change management professional field of interest;
  • Demonstrated spreadsheet skills and ability to manage multiple spreadsheets and data analysis activities;
  • Experience editing and posting content in WordPress or similar content management platforms;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail; and
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR);
  • Experience supporting Agile teams and working within Agile project environments;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks across complex schedules;
  • Experience using WordPress to update internal or external communications;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to engage stakeholders at various levels and build a rapport with diverse audiences;
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle documentation and status reporting;
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools like MS Teams and SharePoint;
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced environment; and
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude towards pitching in and helping teammates.
