This position is for Parker Hannifin's Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm for 1st shift and 2:30pm to 11:00pm for 2nd shift. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Machining Associate II supports the production of metal parts by operating CNC machines in alignment with safety and quality standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, performing basic machining operations, and monitoring equipment to ensure efficient production cycles. The associate inspects finished components, performs routine maintenance, and contributes to accurate data reporting, all while maintaining a strong attention to detail and escalating issues when needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, etc.
- Load raw materials and parts onto CNC machines.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate the required number of parts.
- Supervise the machines while tasks are executed and ask site leadership for support to make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect, measure, and compare finished products against specifications to ensure conformance.
- Deburr parts per specification requirements using hand-help tools.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Accurately collect daily production data and input it into the designated systems and databases.
- Adapt to changing production demands or shifts in priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace by treating all team members with dignity and respect.
- Follow established safety, & environmental policies procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
- Collaborate with and support team members by actively participating in continual improvement initiatives such as High-Performance Teams (HPT), Kaizens, and Zero Defects, completing related charts and embracing operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Certified operator, preferred
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience with CNC operation
Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with other team members.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as algebra and geometry, for measurements and quantities.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and drawings, governmental regulations, and Customer Contracts (POs).

- Ability to use inspection equipment, tools, and gauges.
- Ability to read and understand bar graphs for department metrics.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $20.75 - $31.50 per hour.
