Job Title:Project Subcontract Manager - (TAT's Program)

Location:Houma, LA

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicatedProject Subcontract Managerto oversee and ensure that subcontractors meet performance objectives, schedules, and deliverables in accordance with contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with extensive experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and integrate subcontract efforts into overall construction plans.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Oversee the availability of materials and labor resources to meet project demands.
• Conduct labor estimates and manage manpower schedules effectively.
• Coordinate subcontract activities with ship management to maintain quality standards.
• Manage subcontract activities related to production, including schedule coordination, subcontract progress tracking, change order management, and integration with construction processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for production involvement and communication.
• Coordinate and schedule all project aspects among disciplines such as engineering, procurement, production, and supply chain.
• Develop mitigation solutions to ensure construction efforts remain aligned with the project plan.
• Address daily personnel, equipment, and facility issues while implementing remedial actions.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years in shipbuilding/manufacturing or 5 years in both shipbuilding and marine outfitting, propulsion, and auxiliaries.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine) is preferred.
• Experience in resource planning and scheduling.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in resource planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects.
• Intermediate understanding of USCG regulatory requirements and craft-specific processes.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
