Position Summary
The Senior HR Manager will help drive business results by providing human resources support and solutions to site leaders and associates. This position is responsible to ensure HR solutions (Talent Management, leader and associate development, organizational effectiveness, reporting/analytics, and HR Initiatives) are aligned to and support business objectives and results. You and a Sr. HR Generalist will oversee a multi-site, unionized facility supporting our consumable operations and distribution facilities.

What You'll do as a Senior HR Manager
Develop Strategy
- Drive business results by developing and executing an HR Strategy that supports business goals and objectives.
- Lead as the Senior HR partner to assigned Operations groups supporting all associates and leaders through talent management, development, organizational effectiveness, reporting/analytics, and HR initiatives.
- In conjunction with our business partners, develop communication and change initiatives to align associates with the business goals and objectives and to address employee concerns.
Lead
- Provide leadership to establish a high-performance team-based culture.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure performance metrics and performance guidance processes are in place.
- Directly oversee a Sr. HR Generalist, ensures clear objectives and development opportunities are met.
- Drive HR Initiatives
- Drive performance management initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to increase employee engagement through innovative and unique solutions.
- Develop and manage talent acquisition/ retention programs, work force planning initiatives, and facilitate the business unit succession planning processes.
- In conjunction with Corporate HR resources, ensure compensation and benefits programs are in place and managed to support established goals and objectives.
- Leads the development of organizational assessment initiatives to ensure effective structure and processes are in place.
Employee Relations
- Foster and sustain positive relations with the union
- Coach manager on employee performance, talent development, employee relations issues and other people management priorities.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws/regulations.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required
- Bachelor's Degree required, major in Human Resources Management, psychology, business, or other related field.
- 10 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in a variety of HR areas including manufacturing operations, talent acquisition, talent management, talent development, succession planning, training, employee relations, organizational development and design, and other aspects of HR service delivery.
- Experience working in a unionized facility.
- Experience delivering training.
- Proven experience as HR Business Partner with a history of working with senior leaders at a manager level and above.
Preferred
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience working in manufacturing and distribution environment is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to understand business initiatives and objectives, converting business needs into strategic HR priorities.
- Exceptional skills in coaching and counseling at all levels, performance management and recruiting.
- Demonstrates skills/competencies in critical thought process and systems thinking analysis/ problem solving, planning and decision-making.
