  • Ensure all financial reporting complies with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and collaboration.
  • Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and coordination with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost of goods sold and inventory records.
  • Manage audit processes, including external and internal audits, and coordinate preparation of related documentation and procedural improvements.
  • Partner with the compliance, regulatory, sales, and operations teams to ensure proper financial treatment and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support preparation of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors and corporate stakeholders on income, sales, and use tax compliance and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred. Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2-3 years in public accounting and significant experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems; Epicor ERP preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in audit management, regulatory compliance, and financial process improvement.

This is a highly visible role offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the financial health and operational efficiency of a growing medical device organization. Candidates should bring both technical excellence and a strategic mindset to help guide the business through its next phase of growth.
