Mineola, Long Island, NY - NYU Langone Health, NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is seeking a candidate for a full time faculty position to join its existing Department. The NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is a 591-bed Hospital with 5,100 deliveries a year, a level 3 NICU, as well as a pediatric inpatient and pediatric ICU. Salary range: $195,000 - $ 225, 000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for training, experience, hospital/community needs, and other factors. Responsibilities: We are seeking a dedicated candidate with strong clinical acumen, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to academic excellence. Clinical responsibilities will include hospital consultations and providing care at the outpatient ID office. Engagement in medical education of students and pediatric residents is highly desirable. Interest in Quality Improvement initiatives to prevent hospital-acquired infections is preferred. Opportunities: The ID Division has an established Family Travel program. It offers HIV care and adoption services. The ID Division is integral to inpatient & outpatient antimicrobial stewardship, and IPC programs.It has several ongoing pediatric clinical trials in collaboration with the Vaccine Center at NYU Langone Health. Additionally, the ID Division is closely affiliated with Hassenfeld Children's Hospital and engages in clinical and research collaboration. NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is affiliated with the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, an accelerated 3-year medical school aimed at training outstanding primary care physicians and leaders in areas of population health.
