Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer Specialist with our mortgage loan corporation client in their McLean, VA location. This is a 3 month + contract position.
Summary:
Seeking a DevOps Engineer Specialist. This role will implement DevOps by enabling CI/CD Toolchain for the development & delivery of business capabilities using an automated workflow with embedded controls that deploys to a Big Data and cloud-based infrastructure. This role will be build & operate toolchain, that includes, but not limited to overall vision, design, execution & operations leveraging agile & engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains mission-critical information extraction, analysis, and management systems.
- Implements streaming analysis algorithms to generate question focused data sets (QFDs).
- Participates in architecture and software development activities.
- Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions.
Requirements:
- Advanced with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio or alternative diagramming tools
- Proficient in producing of Metrics Reports based off data analytics and generated data from tools like Jira, ServiceNow
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Process-oriented with great documentation skills
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
- Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EC2, Teraform, Vault, CyberArk, HashiCorp, Lambda,
- Familiarity with agile software development in Python, R, JavaScript, Nodejs, GO, Gradle, Maven, Jfrogs Artifactory, Junit,
- Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Bamboo, Confluence, Spunk, ELK, Nagios, Grafana, Servicenow, Teams, ControlM, Airflow, CloudWatch, Solarwind,
- Experience building advanced PowerPoint Presentations and Slide Decks, to present Visions, Problem Statements, & Solution Designs through diagrams.
- Experience with building Microsoft Visio/Draw.io solution diagrams to demonstrate technology architectures and cloud ecosystem diagrams with several layers (platforms, shared services, applications, tools, APIs)
- Proficient knowledge in DevOps environments and tools, Agile Methodology, CI/CD, AWS Cloud, and Jira/Confluence
- Experience with Data Analytics in gathering, generating, and analyzing Technology Metrics, to outline tool & capability utilization and building of executive-level metrics reports from tools such as Jira and ServiceNow
- Experience building end-to-end systems, with strong software engineering knowledge in complex, multi-language systems.
- Experience working with cloud computing and database systems.
- Experience building custom integrations between cloud-based systems using APIs.
- Experience developing with containers and Kubernetes in cloud computing environments.
- Familiarity with one or more data-oriented workflow orchestration frameworks (KubeFlow, Airflow, Argo,Jenkins etc.).
- Ability to translate business needs to technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of software testing, benchmarking, and continuous integration.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience testing and deploying CI/CD, Test automation, Test Harness, Web UI/microservices, Preferred DevOps in ETL/BI, Data warehousing and cloud systems
