Department:Public Works Department Organizational Unit:Roadway and Bridge Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time Open Until Filled. $2,625.59 to $2,888.15 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Performs skilled professional work installing, configuring, and maintaining mobile and hand-held devices, security equipment, hardware, departmental software, network, telemetry, and other related equipment for the Public Works Department. Work includes managing and executing projects, documenting processes, managing requirements, designing, procuring, and maintaining equipment and related systems to meet end-user requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field PLUS three (3) years of experience in developing, maintaining, and managing computer hardware, software, and equipment, which includes project management experience implementing enterprise software applications and cloud-based systems, and familiarity with Public Works related CMMS and Asset Management systems OR seven (7) years of experience in installing, developing, maintaining, and managing computer hardware, software, and equipment, which includes project management experience implementing enterprise software applications and cloud-based systems, and familiarity with Public Works related CMMS and Asset Management systems. Experience and certifications in Systems Analysis and Programming, Networking, Systems Administration, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Facility and Pavement Condition, Traffic Management, and similar systems are preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred. Knowledge of capital equipment programming, software acquisition, development of SOWs, budget management, and implementation of software is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to work irregular hours and respond to emergencies as needed.In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
