Summary of Position The Manager of Aircraft Records is responsible for the oversight, integrity, and regulatory compliance of all permanent aircraft maintenance records for the fleet. This role ensures that documentation supports operational readiness, FAA compliance, and internal quality standards. The position directly supports the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System and coordinates closely with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Planning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Supervise Aircraft Records Analysts and oversee daily operations within the Records Section - Conduct regular audits to verify accuracy of data entry, completeness of documents, and adherence to policy - Ensure all incoming records are properly identified, error-free, processed, and filed - Report discrepancies, omissions, or policy noncompliance to the Director of Quality - Manage and maintain the company's maintenance tracking system, ensuring timely updates and data accuracy - Monitor and track Airworthiness Directives, aircraft modifications, and Service Bulletin applicability - Maintain comprehensive records for time-controlled components - Ensure compliance with FAR-required reporting and support the DOQ with submissions - Generate and distribute daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reports including utilization reports - Respond to maintenance department inquiries regarding historical data, components, and inspections - Coordinate with maintenance planning for efficient production planning - Monitor and report aircraft hours, cycles, SID/SCID/CPCP/SAR compliance to appropriate manufacturers - Serve as a member of the CASS program and participate in all CASS-related activities - Respond to urgent record-related issues as they arise - Perform other duties as assigned by the DOM or DOQ Qualifications
Required Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining aircraft records or as an inspector for aircraft with 10 or more passenger seats - At least 1 year of experience managing records for aircraft in the same category/class as operated by BAI - Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills - Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications - 3-5 years of direct aircraft records management experience - Prior supervisory or training experience - Familiarity with FAA regulatory frameworks, SID/SCID/CPCP/SAR programs, and CASS participation This description is not intended to be all-inclusive and management reserves the discretion to assign additional duties and/or change job requirements at any time with or without prior notice.
