Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist will provide support with daily functions of the Human Resources department. Provides policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers. Performs data entry in various HR information systems.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Administer and facilitate Workers Compensation and Leave of Absence programs. This includes state-specific coordination if needed.
  • Review FMLA paperwork for compliance. Perform recertification as needed.
  • Assist Sr. HR Generalist with accommodations requests and tracking.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations.
  • Provide HRIS support to employees and managers. This includes user setup, removal, and overall user management.
  • Entry of data into various HR systems.
  • Audit data entry in HRIS for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform HR audits of electronic employee files.
  • Provide benefits assistance to employees including new hire and open enrollment.
  • Complete certified payrolls for all prevailing wage contracts.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal employment laws as they apply to position.
  • Punctual and regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:

At least 4 years of current experience working in multiple areas of the human resources function.

Current knowledge and experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations as they apply to position.

At least 4 years' experience working in a multi-state environment.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, HRIS, ATS, and Timekeeping systems

ADP, Kronos Dimensions, and iCIMS a plus
