Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.

Position Summary

Deliver cybersecurity functions in order to effectively ensure the safe & reliable operation of PG&E Information Technology & Operational Technology systems. These services are delivered through team leadership in one or more of the following major functional areas: Technology Risk and Strategy; Policy, Compliance, and Awareness; Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; Assessment and Verification; Threat and Vulnerability Management; Business (Front Office) Operations; Identity and Access Management; Security Infrastructure Operations; Controls, Metrics & Reporting; and Security Project Delivery. Accountable for the successful development & execution of overall Cybersecurity department strategic plans in alignment with company strategic vision & goals.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately 2 times per week, or more, based on business needs.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $167,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $284,000.00

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and thought leader, and applies extensive unique expertise.
  • Collaborates with team or leaders to work on issues, projects or activities.
  • Develops effective metrics to track, report on and improve overall department performance.
  • Develops, oversees, and implements policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards to support business operating plans and goals.
  • Develops and implements work plans in support of department goals and develop employee accountability.
  • Sets department goals in support of established objectives.
  • Coordinates the gate reviews of projects that support our client organizations as well as IT operations and security projects.
  • Develops and implements programs including leading coordination and facilitation of program review sessions to review costs, schedule and program effectiveness.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • 8 years of combined experience in policy management, compliance management, risk management, business management, information security, and/or utility business/industry work experience including direct managing medium to large organizations required
  • At least one relevant certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Professional in Critical Infrastructure Protection (PCIP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or equivalent required.

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Utility industry experience
  • Leadership experience, security operation centers, or related
  • Experience in systems testing, job-related
  • Experience in project management, cross-functional teams
  • Experience as Professional Services Consultant, all management levels
  • ~Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar
  • CIP-Critical Infrastructure Protection certification
  • CISM-Certified Information Security Manager certification
  • CRISC-Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control certification
