PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 3RD SHIFT

El PASO, TEXAS - PLANT

As a member of the El Paso Plant team, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for production molding and ICB Assembly lines.

The Role:

The production Supervisor (Molding and Assembly) is responsible for front-line leadership in day-to-day operations of a designated production team to include safety, quality, efficiencies, and meeting customer expectations. Setting daily work assignments, ensuring equipment is performing to standard, performing housekeeping checks, scrap reporting, inventory management, and hourly mentoring employees. The production supervisor is also the primary point of contact for the first-response team, managing safety and accidents and reviewing material requirements and practices. They also enforce facility rules for all employees within the workgroup. Provides overall direction to production floor employees in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:



  1. Provides leadership and training to accomplish production objectives to all employees for Safety, Quality and Production
  2. Assigns tasks to operators and identifies methods for coordinating the workflow to meet the production schedule.
  3. Verifies set-ups performed by technicians to achieve optimum quality results.
  4. Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.
  5. Coordinates production activities with other departments to ensure production goals/objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  6. Enters production data accurately into system to measure and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) around OEE, Scrap. downtime, inventory, and overall production
  7. Updates communication boards to keep production floor team members informed about safety, quality, and efficiency metrics. Leads employee start-up meetings.
  8. Works with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses.
  9. Promotes shop floor organization, plant housekeeping with employees utilizing lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.
  10. Fosters professional growth and development of all personnel and promotes group unity, efficiency, and effectiveness by providing technical training and support to problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  11. Reviews the production schedule and verifies print specifications and requirements to determine the process, materials, machines, tooling requirements, and operations sequencing.
  12. Conducts in-process inspections and verification of finished parts to ascertain continuous and process quality conformance.
  13. Prepares and reviews employees worked hours for submission to payroll.
  14. Investigates malfunction of machines and equipment to determine the need for repair.
  15. Conflict Resolution / Discipline / Reporting and Shift Culture/ Rewards & Recognition
  16. Performs other duties as required.
  17. Comply with and lead improvement ts to Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) rules and procedures/
  18. Follow systems for TS16949 and ISO14001REQUIREMENTS

Your Qualifications (Minimum Qualifications):



  • BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive industry
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).



Bonus If You Have (Preferred Qualifications):



  • 1-5 years of production supervisor
  • Prior manufacturing supervision experience in a progressive die shop and injection molding environment
  • Bilingual English Spanish
