Job Title: Linux RedHat Engineer (36 Month Contract Position)
This will be a Hybrid Role - On-Site 3 Days a Week. You can work out of the Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX office! Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Linux RedHat Engineer to join our Unix/Linux Engineering team on a contract basis. This role involves developing a web portal for Powerbroker Breakglass approvals and requires expertise in Python scripting. Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain a web portal for Powerbroker Breakglass approvals. * Administer and manage RedHat Enterprise Linux systems. * Configure, troubleshoot, and support OpenSSH with a deep understanding of the ssh protocol and public key authentication. * Automate processes using advanced scripting skills in Python. * Collaborate with global team members in a team-oriented environment. * Document installation procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Required Skills: * Strong RedHat Enterprise Linux system administration skills. * Advanced Python scripting skills (4+ years). * Shell scripting and SQL query experience. * Solid Linux/UNIX experience (4+ years), with an emphasis on scripting, automation, and performance. * Experience with privilege elevation tools such as PowerBroker. * Knowledge of load balancing technologies and web services software. * Experience working with DBMS technologies. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of communicating at all organizational levels. * Self-motivated, confident, and reliable. * Problem-solving skills with root cause analysis capabilities. Preferred Skills: * Experience with cloud services and DevOps practices. * Familiarity with Ansible for automation. Additional Qualifications: * Ability to work independently and as part of a global team. * Strong documentation skills.
