Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Manager to lead Rivian's Supplier Development Program Management Team. This role is part of a global team in Supplier Development of over 150 people and will have direct report Project Managers. This role is located onsite in Irvine, CA, Plymouth, MI, or Normal, IL and reports to the Senior Director of Supplier Development.


Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the team of Project Managers that are the single point of contact for specific programs for the Supplier Development organization to the Vehicle Line and New Model Program Teams
  • Responsible for overall development, tracking, and reporting of Key Process Indicators (.ie ISIR, PPAP)
  • Direct interface with the Supplier Development Engineers and Managers to roll-up and report out on the established PPAP elements at the program level through the various milestone and checkpoints
  • Responsible to report out status and risks to company senior leaders at program reviews
  • Develop strategies and efficiencies to improve overall delivery of Supplier Development in order to transition the organization from a more reactive to proactive entity
  • Execute and deliver on a program timeline that ranges from supplier sourcing (including supplier assessments) through series production for both current and new model programs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive or related product field
  • 3+ years leading a team of direct reports
  • Evidence of exceptional technical ability, strong attention to detail, and high expectations of self and others
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment exhibiting high integrity, good interpersonal skills, and outstanding communication to peers and executives
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to details and deadlines, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Engineering Management
  • 10+ years experience in manufacturing, product design/engineering, or supply chain
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Program Management training and certification
  • Previous experience leading teams in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois/Michigan Based Applicants: $145,400 - $181,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $159,200 - $199,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
