Title: Senior Technical Accountant
Salary: $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience

A global leader in the technology industry is looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team. This high-impact role is part of the Technical Accounting and External Reporting group and plays a key role in ensuring the company's financial statements and disclosures meet U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. The position also supports business units and internal stakeholders by providing technical accounting guidance on complex and non-routine transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit quarterly, annual, and other financial filings with the SEC

  • Collaborate with internal teams to research, assess, and document appropriate accounting treatment for significant or unusual transactions

  • Lead cross-functional efforts related to acquisitions, divestitures, and implementation of new accounting standards

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for technical accounting topics and help shape accounting policy decisions

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degrees may substitute up to two years of experience; Master's = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years)

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit, ideally with time spent at a Big Four accounting firm

  • CPA certification or international equivalent strongly preferred

  • Experience in the technology industry and within large, matrixed organizations

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, or Workiva (WDesk)

  • Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and XBRL tagging

  • Proven ability to independently lead projects and advise cross-functional teams

Role Scope:

This role offers a high degree of independence and visibility, with direct impact on the company's accounting policies and external reporting. It requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. You'll regularly partner with senior stakeholders and contribute to decisions that shape the financial direction of the organization.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
