The Maintenance Mechanic performs routine warehouse equipment maintenance. Coordinates and communicates directly with the Warehouse Projects Manager regarding warehouse equipment maintenance, repairs, and other maintenance services. ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs specialized maintenance and repair of material handling equipment such as conveyors, carousels, vertical lift modules (VLM), OPEX, waves, forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, stock pickers, heat sealers, tape machines, and any other equipment. SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance and good driving record. JOB LEVELS Maintenance Mechanic I Basic knowledge of mechanics and tools with a willingness to learn. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Maintenance Mechanic II Work requires an intermediate knowledge of several maintenance trades in order to repair fixtures, material handling equipment, and motorized equipment, construct storage structures. Requirements 3+ years general mechanical maintenance experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. Maintenance Mechanic III Advanced knowledge of several maintenance trades in order to repair the more complex problems associated with these items; must be able to troubleshoot, look up parts in catalog or online, place an order if needed. Requirements 5+ years industry specific equipment mechanical maintenance experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. Maintenance Technician Able to complete all tasks listed as a Maintenance Mechanic I, II and III Requirements 6+ years industry specific equipment mechanical maintenance experience required. Internal candidates: o Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience. o Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role.
