Boston Children's Hospital Trust is the philanthropic resource for the hospital which provides vital funds to support our cutting-edge research, community outreach, patient family programs and medical education.

This Development Coordinator, Corporate Relations will:

  • Serve as primary contact and administrator for the medical education program managed by the corporate relations team at the Trust. Ensures compliance to BCH policy for corporate sponsorships related to the programs (conferences & seminars).
  • Work with hospital divisions to coordinate funding requests to companies (per BCH Trust policy & process).
  • Track all requests for support - ensure funds received, deposited and acknowledgement letters processed.
  • Work with hospital divisions on any reporting requirements requested by companies.
  • Seek new opportunities beyond medical education support to engage companies with BCH and build long-term relationships for the future.
  • Manage a small portfolio of Prospects/Donors for lower-level gifts with the goal of increasing philanthropic giving. The Coordinator will work closely with the Director on this strategy.
  • Perform research and conduct outreach to prospective donors to build donor base.
  • Manage relevant database inputs, gift processing, maintenance and data reconciliations.
  • Maintain strong network of donors and potential donors through a variety of approaches influenced by the program type, mission and demographics. Implement a planned approach to reach donors and to track results.
  • Interact with donors and prospects and handle donor calls as appropriate or directed.
  • Prepare letters, agreements, proposals, articles, reports, acknowledgements, case materials, briefings and donor correspondences for hospital, as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and training to other development staff.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of previous experience in development, marketing or customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, high level of productivity, advanced multi-tasking abilities, and a solution-oriented performer
  • Superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong technical skills in general software programs (MS Office) and the ability to develop proficiency in specific database management systems.
