Human Resource Business Partner

Are you a hands-on HR professional with a passion for supporting employees and driving engagement in fast-paced, manufacturing environments? We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a dynamic team in Berea, OH for a 6 month contract with the potential to extend.

In this critical onsite role, you'll partner with leadership and employees to ensure a smooth and positive employee experience across all aspects of HR-from employee relations to payroll and onboarding. If you thrive in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse setting and enjoy wearing multiple HR hats, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

Employee Relations & Engagement




  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing questions and concerns



  • Conduct HR investigations and support corrective actions



  • Walk the floor daily to build connections and foster a positive work environment



  • Lead and support employee engagement activities and events




New Hire Onboarding & Orientation




  • Support onboarding sessions and create onboarding packets



  • Process new hire paperwork and manage documentation in Dayforce



  • Coordinate welcome tours, lunches, and take new hire photos




HR Reporting & Systems




  • Prepare weekly headcount and service award reports



  • Pull data from the HCM system to support leadership reporting



  • Maintain accurate employee records in HCM and payroll systems




Payroll & Benefits




  • Verify timesheets and time-off requests



  • Review weekly overtime and assist with benefits activities



  • Complete I-9 audits and assist with leave management




Other Key Duties




  • Draft offer letters and assist with recruiting efforts



  • Communicate company announcements



  • Collaborate on action-planning and special HR projects




What We're Looking For:


  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role



  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain settings



  • Strong understanding of payroll, HRIS/HCM systems (Dayforce preferred), and HR reporting



  • Comfortable working 100% onsite and flexible with shift coverage



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, people-first approach




Job Details:


  • Location: Onsite in Berea, OH



  • Schedule: Full-time, 100% onsite (some flexibility with shifts required)



  • Pay Rate: $35/hour



  • Duration: 3-6 months with potential for extension



  • Start Date: ASAP
