Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Union Benefits Administrator to manage the administration of 32BJ SEIU union benefits and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). This role is responsible for processing employees in the union's online systems, making accurate contributions, and guiding HR teams in navigating complex union requirements. While the primary focus is on 32BJ SEIU, there may be opportunities to assist with similar union-related issues across other SEIU locals nationwide.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Oversee benefits administration in compliance with the 32BJ SEIU CBA, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of contributions.

* Ensure employees are properly processed in the union's online systems and all required payments are made timely and correctly.

* Partner with HR teams, providing guidance on leave policies, contributions, and compliance with the CBA.

* Analyze and resolve errors related to over- or under-contributions, working closely with payroll and HR teams to correct discrepancies.

* Work with Paycom and other payroll systems to track and report contributions, ensuring proper reconciliation and internal reporting.

* Serve as a key liaison between the company and the union to address inquiries and compliance matters.

* Conduct data processing and analysis to assess contribution accuracy and assist in union reporting.

* Support other SEIU union administration efforts across locations including the Bay Area, Portland, San Diego, and Washington as needed.

* Oversee an HR team based in New Jersey, ensuring they have the necessary guidance to process benefits correctly.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Extensive knowledge of 32BJ SEIU and CBAs (or strong experience with similar unions and collective bargaining agreements).

* Experience in union benefits administration, payroll systems, and compliance reporting.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.

* Familiarity with Paycom and union online portals (training available but experience preferred).

* Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate complex union regulations.

* Experience working with large employee populations

* Ability to work independently and collaborate with HR teams in a hybrid work environment.

* Able to interact in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with all levels of management.

* Must be flexible and possess the ability to meet deadlines in a high tempo environment.

* Excellent time-management, organization and multi-tasking skills required.

* A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive work attitude.

* Ability to work in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Experience:

* Experience managing union benefits and payroll contributions in a multi-location environment.

* Understanding of benefits administration systems is a must.

* Prior experience working with multiple SEIU locals is a plus.
