The Role:

System/QA Analyst (SA/QA) is a subject matter expert for the Customer Information System (CIS), its Integration with other systems and work across all CIS entities to glean a holistic outcome. This includes Customer, Account, Premise, Service, Contacts, Residential/Commercial/Industrial Billing, Service/Meter Order, Credit/Collections, Meter Reading, Meter Inventory, Meter Compliance work including Meter Proving, Sampling and Testing, Cash Processing. Functional and process knowledge is applied to integration with peripheral applications.

SA/QA works closely with the Business, IT&S Development, the PMO and Contractors to meet Corporate and Business initiatives. SA/QA maps Business process and requirements to Development design and translates it to a Test Plan. SA/QA supports monthly CIS and quarterly Systems Integration releases and emergency fixes in addition to day-to-day activities. SA/QA performs CIS Control file (configuration) changes, CIS Security requests and is responsible to document change and testing to meet SOX Controls.

Day to Day:

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes
  • Utilize Business, Functional requirements and Design documents in developing test cases for positive and negative scenarios
  • Apply Systems knowledge in identifying downstream impact to other Business areas
  • Create test plans including all phases of Unit, System, Integration and Regression for projects
  • Perform DB2 or SQL ad hoc requests for CIS data analysis and to build Test Beds
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
  • Support monthly production releases throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Test Interfaces and middleware integrity i.e. BizTalk, MQSeries, and tools like GoAnywhere
  • Establish and maintain productive business partnerships across the organization
  • Support end Users in the Field, Call Center, Billing and Rates
  • Perform CIS Control file changes and CIS Security ad hoc and for regular releases
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective system operations
  • Support company commitment to a culture of safe work practices

Come on your first day with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Management Information System or equivalent education and experience
  • 3 years of related experience for a Level 2 position. Additional years' experience with progressively more complex responsibilities required for Level 3 consideration
  • DB2 and SQL experience preferred
  • Understand Test Methodology, Test Planning, Strategy, Execution, and defect tracking
  • Exceptional oral, written communication
  • Ability to work with changing requirements/priorities
  • Technical aptitude, problem-solving ability with consistent focus on Customer support
  • Proven ability to be self-managed
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects to meet tight schedules
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Base salary range:$79,500.00 - $109,100.00 (Level 2) or$96,000.00-$136,800.00(Level 3) per year, depending on qualifications

Annual Target Incentive: Level 2,9.5% target

Level 3, 9.5% target

Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% - 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
