Molnlycke is seeking a dynamic Factory Operations Manager to lead and elevate our manufacturing site in Wiscasset, Maine. In this pivotal role, you'll drive performance and culture by optimizing resources, streamlining processes, and championing high-impact initiatives that align with our mission and values. As a key member of the local leadership team, you'll collaborate across departments-particularly with Finance and Corporate teams-to ensure our site's success is both operationally sound and financially sustainable. What you'll do:



  • Champions site-wide performance by driving operational efficiency, organizational alignment, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures clear communication of business goals, policies, and performance metrics to align and empower all levels of the organization.
  • Develops and mentors the management team to foster leadership growth and support a high-performing, results-oriented culture.
  • Models and reinforces Molnlycke's high-performance behaviors, setting the tone for collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Oversees site financials, ensuring budgetary goals are met or exceeded while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Promotes transparency and engagement by leading quarterly (or more frequent) site-wide communications around achievements, priorities, and business performance.
  • Actively contributes to the Local Management Team and leads the Expanded Operations Team to align site strategies with broader business goals.
  • Leads best practice initiatives in safety, quality, and production-partnering cross-functionally to drive Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and operational excellence.
  • Collaborates closely with the US Manufacturing Director to enhance overall performance across the U.S. manufacturing network

What You'll Bring to the Role:

Required Qualifications:



  • Proven experience leading production teams of 30+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years in a production leadership or similar operations role.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes and operational execution, with a hands-on approach to performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated success in deploying LEAN methodologies, problem-solving frameworks, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working in regulated industries-medical device preferred, but pharma, food, or aerospace experience also considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of industrial engineering principles, labor regulations, and a proven ability to manage and support employee relations effectively.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.
