Required Qualifications:
* PhD, MD, or equivalent.
* At least 10 years of experience
* Expertise in the fields of bone biology research and clinical trial design
* Experience collaborating with clinical and research faculty in an academic setting

Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of metastatic bone disease and myeloma bone disease
Job description:
Senior research scientist for a research project investigating the treatment of bone metastases in the spine using radiofrequency ablation, bone augmentation, and radiotherapy. The project is a pilot study and includes work with a multidisciplinary team. This role will be responsible for scientific expertise and guidance of the research project in close collaboration with the principal investigator.

Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic oversight of research conduct and scientific decisions
* Support the preparation of study documents, including, but not limited to: protocol amendments, patient facing materials, and data collection instruments
* Optimize workflows and plans for outcome measurements
* Add to scientific depth to the research team and serve as a content expert for study team members
* Assist in answering scientific questions from regulatory bodies (internal and external to UMN)
* Collaborate with post-doctoral research fellow on scientific literature and future grant submissions

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $56 -66/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
