Job Title: Receiving Inspector 1
Location: Goleta, CA 93117
Duration: Contract 6 Months
Job Mode: On-Site
Pay rate: $25 to $28 /hour on w2 without benefits
Shift hours: Regular shift timings
Role & Responsibilities:
- Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
- Perform required inspections (visual, dimensional, and functional, etc.) on spacecraft components.
- Uses various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machine.
- This job has decision-making responsibilities with regards to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
- Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress.
- Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
Basic Qualifications for Receiving Quality Inspector level 2
- High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role
- Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools
- Knowledge of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications and related criteria
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for Receiving Quality Inspector level 2:
- Strong Computer skills
- Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results
- Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads.
- Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.
