Pay Rate: $28.60/Hr. without benefits

Job Description:

  • Technical Competence: Proficiency in basic computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • Basic Financial Acumen: Understanding of basic accounting and math skills, reviewing HUD-1/closing statements, deeds, titles, mortgage agreements, appraisals, invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation with the ability to determine legitimacy and completeness.
  • Excellent Communication Skills : Ability to engage with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders to include teammates, small business owners, and other business organizations statewide in a professional and courteous manner, via email, phone, and MS Teams.
  • Customer Service Orientation : A demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, with a focus on responsiveness, clarity, and problem-solving
  • System Administration and Client Information Management : Experience using systems, to track client interactions, manage applications, and input detailed information.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Financing: Familiarity with business and/ or mortgage financing and/or processing, to include grants, loans, and other financial incentives.
  • Relevant work experience: 3 Years


Skills and Experiences of Temporary Investigator:

  • CRM software especially Microsoft Dynamics 365, is highly desirable but is not mandatory
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish or Korean is a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience in mortgage, commercial lending, and/or financial services.


Key responsibilities of the Program Support Specialist will include but are not limited to:

  • Program Marketing: Proactively engage with potential applicants and business organizations to promote the EDA's financing and incentive resources. Implement targeted marketing strategies to increase awareness and usage of available programs.
  • Outreach and Lead Generation: Build and manage a robust pipeline of potential grant applicants by initiating outreach calls and sending emails to attract new leads and sustain relationships with ongoing partners.
  • Client Interaction and Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the program. Assist with inquiries to other department programs as needed. Assess client needs through preliminary discussions, ensuring applicants understand eligibility requirements and the necessary documentation.
