Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking an Applied Science Professional Intern in a Research Environment (ASPIRE) candidate to assist the Cyber Security operations team at the lab. The selected candidate will assist and work with authenticators for standalone computers so they can use multi-factor authentication. The ability to research and gain an understanding of Near-Field Communication (NFC), token-based authentication, and the understanding of scientific equipment like PC Controllers is beneficial. This candidate will be expected to produce documentation that field personnel can use to authenticate and use this technology. A sound understanding of cyber security protocols, in particular the use of best practices like multi-factor authentication is desirable. The Qualified individual must be pursuing, at a minimum, an associate's degree in applied science or computer science discipline. The intern will assist with streamlining processes related to multi-factor authentication techniques for computer systems that operate "off the network." |
