This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this position or function only. You will need to reapply for any future recruitment conducted for this job classification. If you indicated veteran status on your application, you must submit your DD-214 along with the completed DTS-1 (application). Nature of Work: The main purpose of this position is to procure materials, parts, supplies, and services to support maintenance facility operations. This position will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory from the facility's stockroom. The Inventory Specialist will maintain comprehensive knowledge of the VISA Procurement Program, Enhanced Procurement Information Control System (EPICS), the Vendor Meal Invoice Program in Salesforce, Financial Management Information System R*STARS and the Bradley Inventory System to effectively manage procurement and inventory processes. Qualifications
-
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse or other supply storage facility. Selective Qualification: One (1) year of the required experience must have involved procurement and inventory processes.

Licenses & Certifications

Candidates must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
Candidates must pass SHA Level I Small Procurement Training Certification during the six (6) month probationary period.
