Position Purpose
Under little to no supervision and acting on own initiative, the Senior Sales Finance Analyst - Pricing & Promotions supports the overall financial management of the assigned Sales divisions. This position actively manages revenue and promotional expenses, working with Sales and Finance to ensure activities meet both brand and financial standards. The Senior Sales Finance Analyst - Pricing & Promotions is responsible for monitoring pricing changes and distributor margins, ensuring they are in conjunction with Delicato best practices.
Essential Duties
- Helps manage the annual revenue and promotional expense planning process as well as periodic latest estimate forecasts with sales, including detailed analysis supporting actual spend rates, variances to plan, and revenue opportunities by brand and division
- Conducts monthly business reviews with Region and Division Managers, supporting revenue and expense management initiatives; supports discussion of spend utilization and potential risks and opportunities to the Financial Plan
- Leads financial management of direct and indirect pricing activities, including maintaining accurate expense accruals and analyzing plan vs. actual rates, conducts Return on Investment analysis to ensure spend efficiencies
- Partners with Sales to ensure corporate price adjustment are implemented timely and in line with desired strategy
- Reviews and approves pricing changes in alignment with brand pricing guidelines, local business practices and company objectives; evaluates proposed pricing changes and brand margin issues
- Provide insights relating to strategic price changes to finance and sales partners
- Supports management and reconciliation of distributor-maintained promotional support funds, including conducting regular reviews and analysis of effectiveness and supporting a holistic approach to management of internal and external funds
- Leads financial management of coupon activities, including analysis of expense accruals and true-ups, and ROI analysis; analyzes spend and manages accrual by brand and by region
- Analyzes Depletion Allowance expense accruals vs. actual payments to distributors, including total dollars and rates per case; ensures appropriate DA expense recognition and accrual position
- Prepares other management reporting packages and ad hoc analysis projects as needed
- Maintains relationships and acts as a financial partner with marketing, sales managers and VP(s); works and thinks cross-functionally
- Maintains relationships with various other functional management teams to ensure quality deliverables and information flow, including accounting, FP&A, Business Performance Management, HR, the Chain Team and Marketing
- Acts as Delicato expert on reporting systems and drives innovation and efficiencies to improve reporting
- Assists with the training and development of new or junior members of the case goods finance team

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; degree in business, finance or accounting preferred
- 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Prior experience in wine or beverage alcohol business preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with the three-tier distribution network, and shipment, depletion and scan data reporting and analysis
- Expert computer skills are required, with ability to report and analyze multi-dimensional data and complex information
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills, analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Working Conditions
- General office environment with occasional travel
- Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
- Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment

The pay range for this position is $76,353.84 to $119,397.60. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
