Company DescriptionJob Description

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to join Procore's Connected Platform team. In this role, you'll work with a team of engineers and product managers to build the platform components required to enable different customer accounts to share data seamlessly. Data sharing is a critical requirement for all stakeholders on a job site and is the single biggest problem in construction today. Failure to properly share data can lead to delayed schedules, budget overruns, and, at worst, safety violations and incidents.

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll partner with Solutions teams to deliver seamless data sharing scenarios across use cases. Use your stakeholder management, collaboration, and deep technical skills to enable Procore customers to have an amazing experience when multiple customers are using Procore on the same project. Does this challenge get you excited? We want to hear from you!

This position reports to the Director of Product Management, Project Execution Platform and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Become well-versed in the construction industry and its diverse challenges, and an expert on customer pain points that can be solved by stakeholder data sharing

  • Develop and own the product roadmap to optimize customer wins, a scalable platform, and our competitive advantage

  • Identify and write product and feature briefs by considering outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical requirements, and a platform-first mentality

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create solutions that are compelling, easy to adopt, and realistic to implement

  • Evangelize stakeholder data sharing experiences and the customers' needs to the whole company

  • Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinking-recognize platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once, creating strategic leverage for Procore

  • Effectively use qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help inform the decision-making process

  • Think beyond software for the whole solution by collaborating closely with customers, partners, and go-to-market teams

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience at an enterprise SaaS software company

  • Experience working on platforms adopted by multiple stakeholder teams

  • Technical experience either as a software engineer or through a computer science background

  • Have scaled a product from V1 while maintaining low churn and high customer growth

  • Experience managing products and rollouts with complex dependencies across multiple autonomous product teams

  • Experience in releasing product updates and successfully driving their adoption

  • Ability to effectively communicate trade-offs for decisions through strong written and verbal skills

  • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components structured into platform-first solutions
