Job Description
Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Specialist for its corporate Marketing Communications 960 department based in Lenexa, KS. This role supports marketing initiatives by writing compelling content that aligns with business goals, enhances brand presence, and drives engagement across diverse platforms. This position is central to PCG's brand storytelling and consistent voice.

Digital Content (Web, Email, & Social)
- Leverage best practices to refine and drive the company's digital strategy, including managing social media calendars, developing engaging content (including paid media platforms), and overseeing social profiles.
- Provide training and resources to educate internal stakeholders on social media best practices.
- Develop messaging for email campaigns and work with the design team to build and track the performance of campaigns, while ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Update, maintain, and optimize website content for SEO, enhancing search engine visibility and improving overall web performance.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital campaign KPIs and provide recommendations for improvement.
Strategic Messaging & Marketing Collateral
- Support nationwide, regional, and local campaigns with messaging and content development.
- Leverage research on industry trends and customer behavior to identify key messages, audiences, and strategies.
- Support business development needs by developing and maintaining a library of collateral that aligns with PCG's tone and target audience, including boilerplate language for qualifications, product and service line fact sheets, firm overviews, and case studies.
Communications & Brand Awareness
- Build brand awareness in partnership with the marketing team by identifying and writing targeted content and stories for industry publications, award submissions, thought leadership, white papers, advertisements, videos, and more.
- Support external communication efforts by drafting press releases, industry rankings, and other content for PR and media relations efforts.
- Partner with our world-class video production team to support interviews and develop scripts.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
Basic Requirements
- Must have at least 3 years' experience in content creation, copywriting, communications, marketing, or a related role
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with experience in content management systems like WordPress and Hootsuite
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals
- Portfolio showcasing personally created content that demonstrates strong professional writing and editing capabilities
- Ability to write content for various channels
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and dynamic ability to problem solve
- Ability to support other key initiatives and projects as needed
- Displays robust interpersonal skills with willingness to make new connections by initiating outreach and engaging with diverse audiences
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Familiarity with design tools including Canva and InDesign
- Experience developing content for paid media platforms
- Experience with email marketing best practices and compliance
- Local to the Kansas City metro area preferred
