Manages work packages to ensure project deliverables are met through collaboration with CPS Energy' IT Infrastructure, Network Services, Service Support and IT Operations teams. Works with Application Development and Business Unit teams and provide proper guidance to ensure the client software and services are designed, tested, documented, implemented, enhanced and maintained according to the operations standards and expected service quality. Provides Tier 3 proactive and reactive service and performance management for mission critical systems and client systems. Responds to real-time performance alerts to resolve performance problems. Conducts regular on-going review/analysis of performance data to identify current performance problems and proactively detect potential future performance problems. Ensures proper selection and deployment of technologies, creation or improvement of all processes, and the recruiting or retaining of motivated, skilled people. Grade: 17 Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Sought as a subject matter expert with Windows/Linux Administration, VMware Virtualization, and Cloud native solutions from a design/usage perspective, and created a knowledge hub to convey best practices, common issues, and lessons learned.
Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Extensive knowledge of Information technology infrastructure in a field supporting the migration of infrastructures from physical to virtual environments.
Applied Computer skills to include understanding of networking, hardware, system administration, active directory, operating systems and desktop applications.
Knowledge of the principles of data communications and telecommunications.
Knowledge of computer operating systems, storage virtualization, compute virtualization, and hypervisors.
Extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix, and Windows environment.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS, including repository management, system patching, and CLI configuration/administration.
Experience in creating and modifying scripts to configure and automate common.
Provide support in defining and developing product architecture through the provision of designs and evaluation of storage products in order to meet business needs.
Experience setting up and maintaining in production VMware DRS, HA, storage/network multipath.
Solid foundation in Linux System Management, Virtualization, Scripting and Programing, SAN and NAS deployment and management, Storage Virtualization, System Backup utilization enterprise class backup platform.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Computer Systems, Management Information Systems or related field from an accredited university or equivalent working experience Required Certifications Working Environment
