Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility: Manage the residential mortgage and construction loan origination department. Includes origination of single-family mortgages, management of secondary-market partners and development of assigned team to ensure achievement of service and revenue objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: With or without reasonable accommodation must be able to perform all essential job functions as described below.

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the employees and activities of a lending team.
  • Includes staff selection, development, training, coaching and performance management.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate sales strategies, goals and objectives that promote new business opportunities and cross-selling of appropriate loan/deposit products.
  • Solicit, originate and close single-family mortgages and residential construction loans.
  • Collaborate with and coach banking service teams to generate a continuous stream of loan referrals.
  • Monitor the status and risk grading of the unit's loan portfolio to ensure consumer compliance and performance.
  • Evaluate and maintain appropriate secondary-market lender relationships.
  • Generate various reports on department profitability and productivity. Recommend appropriate solutions and staffing strategies. Collaborate with market executive to establish performance metrics.
  • Monitor applicable consumer lending regulations and perform regular reviews of the loan origination processes and procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Ability to qualify for and maintain required licenses and certifications.
  • Computer proficiency, including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Proficiency at speaking, reading and writing English.

Experience and/or Education:

  • Four-year degree in business/ accounting or equivalent training/experience.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience originating and managing a portfolio of consumer loans and lines of credit.
  • Five years of experience managing a mortgage lending team, preferred.

Travel/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel to client and business event locations (driving requires continuous possession of a valid driver's license and the minimum level of auto insurance).

Excellent benefits package for eligible employees and their families. Competitive salary BOE in the range of $100,000 - $143,000 Annually.
