About The Role

Summary

Bancorp's (GBCI) Lock Desk Specialist plays a critical role in the profitability of each real estate loan by being responsive to an ever-changing, unpredictable set of circumstances, such as market movement, volume levels, loan characteristics affecting price, and investor requirements. This position is fast-paced, deadline driven, with a focus on "great data" and offers a variety of tasks throughout the day that will broaden the employee's skill set and provide for potential future possibilities. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. The entry-rate for this position is $23.87 + /hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT)

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Description

  • Rate Locks: Evaluate, confirm and process pricing upon receipt of each lock, extension or change request and revise as requested or needed; Manage interest rate lock commitments on secondary market investor websites and within the LOS with a focus on ensuring "great data"; Perform audits of vendor profile changes and new locks to ensure accuracy; monitor pipeline for expiring locks; evaluate and process price concession requests and provide weekly reporting for senior management; provide weekly reporting on portfolio exceptions; weekly validation on sold loan purchase advices; enforcing written procedures and lock policy and notifies management of any breach of policy.
  • Provide detailed reporting in excel and Power BI on pricing and lock volume activity for senior management; perform pricing analysis on new and existing investors; weekly reporting/monitoring of cash window and investor pricing; other reporting as needed by management.
  • System admin for Pricing Engine; Maintain division margins and markups in the system to ensure accurate pricing is available to production staff, manage eligibility requirements to follow written policies and investor specific extension and change request options; Build custom products to fit division/corporate needs; complete product mapping to the LOS; add and remove users; in-depth research on all pricing inquiries with the ability to explain to production staff; serves as main point of contact for pricing engine questions or issues; attend additional training or webinars related to managing the pricing engine.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of agency guidelines and investor overlays; ability to identify and evaluate new loan product Maintain internal intranet page with product guidelines, frequently asked questions, and relevant market information; create and maintain job aids/procedures for production staff; provide training as needed on lock policy, internal procedures, and pricing engine functionality; effectively communicate changes to origination staff in a timely manner.
  • Division Relationships: Monitor market conditions to proactively alert and alter lock pricing as divisions or corporate require; Ensure loan pricing is within branch division and corporate targets and notify management with any breach of stated policies; provide guidance and market clarity to individual real estate managers; track and maintain changes to division margins and adjustments; work closely with other departments on bank initiatives and projects.
  • Relationship Management: Assist and collaborate with mortgage loan originators on: individual loan scenarios; interest rate lock quotes and execution; assigning appropriate loan programs/products while maintaining strong relationships with all levels of production staff; Serves as alternate contact to all vendor partners and other external partners in the absence of the department manager; maintains positive relationships with pricing engine vendor and works directly with them to solve issues.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
