Basic Function

HF Sinclair Midstream located in Artesia, NM is seeking a Field Operations Trainer. This position is responsible for, under minimal supervision, the functions of the training and development program, which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, processes, procedures, systems, and/or standards. Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

* Assumes responsibility for developing a training program and OTM's at the field operating level.

* Leads efforts for initial issue, update/revision, review, approval, and document control of Procedures and OTM's.

* Responsible for legitimacy, validity, and overall integrity of the program, procedures and training materials

* Confirms accuracy and appropriateness of information in the OTM's, Procedures and training requirements

* Ensures new information or changes to existing information are reasonable.

* Serves as clearing house for any new information needs or revisions identified by the users of OTM's.

* Provides initial identification of any other documents affected by changes to the OTM's.

* Identifies new training needs, resources and OTM's

* Develop, maintain and update Training Aids (i.e. Sign off Sheets, Check list, sketches, Training Guides/Skill Assessment Guides

etc.)

* Facilitates annual and technical reviews for OQ's, Field Operations Training Guides (FOTG's), and training documentation

* Provides Field Operations SME training, facilitates general operations and area specific training.

* Develop, maintain, and update Operator Qualification/Requalification tests

* Log Learning Plans, qualification and requalification tests results on MyHFC training site and Active Learner.

* Review Operators training progression and Sign Off Sheets procedures to determine if Operators are ready for qualification testing.

* Administer written and skills tests for qualification and requalification tests

* Performs the hands-on observation qualification of tasks being qualified for

* Field based hands-on trainer 70% of time

SME / Operator Qualification

* Facilitates technical reviews for all pipeline operating procedures and policy reviews

* Reviews and approves changes made to previously approved OTM's and FOTG's. Confirms that adequate level of review has been performed prior to providing approval.

* Performs any field-level training as a result of changes to the OTM's, MOC's or FOTG's, if needed.

* Distributes new document or revisions to existing document to the user community.

Document Control

* Develop, maintain and update OTM's and FOTG's

* Assumes responsibility for primary storage of master document, retrieval, and distribution, and for the electronic (computer generated) files.

* Develop, maintain, and update Training Guides, Skill Assessment Guides, Initial Qualification and Requalification tests

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of five years of related job experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

Required Skills

* Good understanding of Pipeline Operations with a special focus on safety and environmental responsibilities

* Excellent overall Pipeline and area knowledge

* Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build good relationships with others in the area

* Able to work effectively with several levels in the organization (i.e. hourly, supervision, management and staff groups)

* A self-starter who can work under minimum supervision conditions

* Open minded and willing to accept new and different ideas which will improve pipeline operations

* Comfortable delivering training to either large groups or individuals

* Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including; Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Visio, Share Point and other network programs such as SAP, Enablon, Adobe Acrobat and Active Learner.

* Excellent knowledge of the Training Department Document Control Policy.

* Must qualify and maintain good standing within the respiratory protection program.

Document Control Responsibilities:

* Ensures that documentation is approved prior to release.

* Updates and maintains Master Document List.

* Ensures documentation is compliant to regulatory requirements

* Ensures that all documents are available at point of use.

* Maintain electronic training records

* Responsible to follow the Corporate Records Management Policy as it pertains to retention

period and destruction of documents.

Computer Software and Network Systems:

* Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Share Point -

* Ensures that all documents are available at point of use

* SAP

* Enablon

* Adobe Acrobat - combine files, create and post to SharePoint

* Active Learner - Records Administrator & Manger, Curriculum Manager

* Visio - Update Process flow diagrams, LCD's and POW cards.

* OS Suites

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 50% by land or air required (depending on location). Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
