THE JOB:
As a Sommelier at LPM at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, you'll be more than a wine expert-you'll be a storyteller, a host, and the curator of unforgettable guest experiences. Your knowledge and charisma will help guests explore our world-class wine program while enjoying seamless pairings with LPM's premier cuisine. This is an on-call position.

THE STARTING RATE:

• 18.3179 per hour + tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Serve as a wine ambassador-maintain expert-level knowledge of our curated wine list and deliver thoughtful wine and food pairings.

• Set the tone for a memorable guest experience with a warm, engaging presence and attentive service.

• Maintain and organize cellar and storage inventory in accordance with internal controls and par levels.

• Collaborate with wine vendors to explore, evaluate, and source high-quality selections that enhance the beverage program.

• Ensure proper handling of payments, adhering to all cash handling and comp policies.

• Monitor and uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards for all equipment and workstations.

• Champion responsible beverage cost management through smart purchasing, storage, and team training on pour levels and wine knowledge.

• Inspect and verify wine deliveries, resolving discrepancies with vendors and warehouse as needed.

• Contribute to an environment of continuous learning and excellence by mentoring team members on wine service standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
