DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Supervise the ordering, receiving, and usage of home delivery supplies. Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and space allocation to ensure financial efficiency. Develop, implement, and monitor departmental goals, policies, and quality assurance programs in alignment with MU Health Care. Coordinate services with pharmacies and patients to ensure quality care. Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other departments to resolve operational issues and improve communication. Oversee pharmacy driver transportation routes, ensuring timely, safe medication delivery, supply chain integrity, and compliance with board of pharmacy regulations. Assist in resolving supply chain issues. Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor drivers and staff in operations and distribution. Communicate policy and procedural updates, monitor workload and productivity, and ensure effective service. Generate and analyze productivity and operational reports, making necessary adjustments. Support operations as needed, including cold chain packaging, home delivery, and medication transport. Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care. Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Chauffeur driver license; class E or higher for Missouri residents. Three (3) years of related experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Related experience in operations, distribution, home delivery, receiving, or retail. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
