We are seeking a Master Planner for our DUV team. This role will be responsible for the high level and long term strategy for our manufacturing teams.

Context

Master Planning works closely in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to create, optimize, and execute the factory build plan covering a 2+ year horizon. They enable the business to make conscious decisions around plan scenarios by integrating factory capabilities, supply chain constraints, business opportunities, costs, and risks into feasible proposals. They make reliable commitments based on a thorough understanding of limiting factors to production and ASML's output plan ambitions.

This role will Manage & improve operational planning activities within ASML by working together with other operational planners. Influencing key internal and external stakeholders at senior management level to embed improvements across departments.

You will be seen as an authority within Operational Planning by senior stakeholders and drives results through influential leadership. Working completely independent on highly complex processes with high risks involved. Supervision based on review of end results.

Master Planners will Communicate effectively to a wide variety of relevant stakeholders ensuring that the provided information is equitable / fair to all parties and can be used as a source for others to use.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Industrial or systems engineering with 3+ years of planning experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering with Supply Chain experience in an internship setting

Responsibilities Demand & Supply Plan Management
  • End-to-End planning across all demand types

  • Align plan with cross-sector stakeholders (Source & Procure, Plan & Deliver, Global Manufacturing, Business Line, Finance, Reuse & Repair).

  • Drive the monthly Demand & Supply (D&S) cycle to optimize the Wilton factory build plan covering a 2+ year horizon.

  • Effectuate the D&S plan, monitor progress, and manage deviations.

  • Contribute to move rate capability assessments and long-term capacity plans (5+ yr horizon).

  • Determine and implement optimal buffer strategies

Resolving Issues
  • Identify key constraints and bottlenecks impacting production and escalate them appropriately.

  • Create impact scenarios and sensitivity analyses showing D&S outcomes based on variable inputs and assumptions.

  • Support escalations by providing clear and accurate guidance on factory requirements (parts, labor, tooling) needed to meet output goals.

  • Prevents issues by proactive analysis of the flow and set-up of (new) processes.

Tracking, Reporting & Analytics
  • Able to measure operational planning activities and report on them.

  • Able to identify gaps in key performance indicators and perform root cause analysis.

  • Able to identify the data or information needed to solve problems and proactively seek it out.

  • Highlights the potential risks and is able to influence the key stakeholders based upon data.

Stakeholder Management
  • Actively maintains relationships with senior management stakeholders across the organization. Advises senior management on the risks/opportunities in making operational planning decisions.

  • Understands different stakeholder perspectives, is able to empathize with and bring perspectives on a range of topics.

  • Interacts with stakeholders from different functional areas and locations across the globe.

  • Able to balance competing stakeholder interests and drive the factory towards an optimal outcome from a company-wide perspective.

Operational Planning Systems and Tooling
  • Monitors and manages the established operational planning systems to achieve organizational goals.

  • Provides inputs for improving the existing planning frameworks, introducing new planning systems and tools.

  • Is able to work with ambiguous inputs.

Continuous Improvement
  • Initiates, formulates and implements new processes and procedures for the functional discipline and manages improvements projects cross sector.

  • Solves problems in a structured way using problem solving methods and coaches peers in doing the same.

  • Standardizes processes for the sector. Leads large projects (e.g. workstream of API), across departments.

  • Able to understand processes and goals around inventory management and execute projects accordingly.

  • Able to understand processes and goals around reuse, repair, and reverse logistics and execute projects accordingly.

  • Able to understand processes and goals around operational planning systems, tooling, and way-of-working and execute projects accordingly.
