Overview
Presbyterian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Interventional Radiology to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional patient care, and optimize workflow efficiency within the department. Qualifications
- Associate's Degree - Radiologic Sciences
- NM Radiography Tech
- ARRT registry required
- Five years of Interventional Radiology experience is required, with two years of progressive management experience
Responsibilities
- Establishes process to define qualifications, responsibilities, competencies, and staffing needed to provide care and services that meet the mission, vision, and values of Presbyterian.
- Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Responsible for work schedules, assignments, personnel to duties and/or tasks, evaluates work performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Appraises and counsels employees in regards to attendance, conduct, work performance, and job-related issues.
- Recruitment and retention of staff.
- Acts as a resource for Radiology staff regarding primary customers, company, products, and/or services.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource and implementer of quality assurance programs. Establishes and maintains safety, environmental, and infection control policies and procedures for Interventional Radiology.
- Continually defines, analyzes, and implements efficient workflow utilizing process improvement principles.
- Maintains communication between Interventional Radiology and other Radiology services, as well as other hospital departments.
- Maintains communication with contracted Radiology group.
- Determines and justifies needs for equipment purchases; adheres to all policies regarding equipment purchases, monitors equipment installations, and oversees proper working order.
- Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
- Performs administrative tasks for ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Preparation and ongoing review of department budgetary projections.
- Maintain statistical records on department operations and holdings and prepare statistical reports as needed.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Apply radiological technical skills when necessary. Oversees new testing procedures and related protocol. Encourages and approves the introduction and demonstration of new techniques, equipment, and research findings.
- Attends meetings as required. Often develops agendas for meetings and conducts education meetings as required.
- Participates on committees as directed.
