Job Description

The Associate Production Specialist manages the regional short-term and long-term work schedule in accordance with approved department budgets and the overall customer and system priorities. Works closely with regional stakeholders (including: Operations, Planning, and other customer facing departments) to prioritize and manage the work portfolio and all customer commitments. Coordinates closely with the Service Providers to accomplish regional priorities, support safe and efficient work management, and achieve company performance goals. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.

Promotes and supports a culture of total safety for PSE and Service Provider employees alike. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, coordinating and managing short-term and long-term regional work schedules for a given region consistent with established corporate priorities.
  • Sets capacity plan in the schedule for use by all process stakeholders.
  • Ensures released work portfolio remains in compliance with pre-determined business rules to drive crew efficiency and allow daily scheduling flexibility by the Service Providers.
  • Chairs weekly scheduling meetings with the Service Providers and PSE stakeholders to establish week-ahead and long-term schedules.
  • Uses balanced scorecard to drive safety and improve performance.
  • Maintains an understanding of the regional work priorities, as driven by various internal departments, including: Customer and System Project Services, System Operations, Planning, Electric First Response, etc.
  • Collects, analyzes and reports on project data from various stakeholders to keep stakeholders informed Monitors upstream and downstream availability of 'construction-ready' emergent work for Service Providers.
  • Manages longer term scheduling of various planned projects.
  • Evaluates time estimates and underlying assumptions to ensure work schedules are achievable Updates schedule per job package milestones for scheduled work.
  • Releases job to the Service Provider for crew assignment and scheduling.
  • Supports the Service Provider with short-term schedule changes, as required, in order to accomplish regional priorities in an efficient manner.
  • Researches and resolves scheduling conflicts with applicable stakeholders.
  • Maintains flexibility while working in a changing environment.
  • Supports emergency response work as requested including immediate and extended restoration efforts. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience
  • 3 years of experience in planning or utility operations
  • Demonstrated experience with data analytics
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, with a wide variety of individuals and groups internally and externally

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the ElectricOperations business/department
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Demonstrated organization, documentation and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Detailed oriented

The pay range for this position is$74,000.00-$111,900.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
