Overview

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible and accountable for project and traffic management of Ascend's marketing and communication efforts. This role is accountable for execution of Ascend's marketing calendar and tactics to successfully build and launch campaigns that support Ascend's mission and goals. This role works with product and channel teams to coordinate project needs. Develops standardized marketing processes, tools, and training of processes and tools. Collaborate with members of the marketing team to ensure a well-rounded and successfully executed project or campaign. Provides direction, development, and management of the Project Management Coordinator.



Responsibilities

    Meet with internal clients to gather project information and goals. Balance other product line needs and request to recommend offers, tactics, timelines, and budget to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure all marketing projects are delivered on schedule and within budget to highest possible standards.
  • Serve as project manager and assist the marketing team with meeting all assigned deadlines.
  • Manage scheduling, trafficking, planning, and resource management from concept to delivery for all marketing projects, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Identify areas of improvement for project processes and workflow.
  • Lead development and execution of all marketing elements that affect the physical delivery channels, e.g. branch interior and exterior signage; Ascend Amphitheater signage and promotions; multimedia; posters; ATMs; and ITMs.
  • Research competitors' campaigns and service offerings to stay up-to-date and inform cross-functional teams with industry trends and consumer behaviors to guide strategic decision making.
  • Support successful execution of all credit union events such as groundbreakings, grand openings, and open houses. Exercise discretionary authority in developing and scheduling these events.
  • Serve as project and promotional liaison and main point of contact for branch and departmental staff.
  • Manage vendor/partner needs, develop and implement a productions schedule to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Graphic Designer, and Corporate Communications Leads to ensure a consistent brand and content strategy and plan across all delivery channels.
  • Manage Ascend Amphitheater and Live Nation promotional relationship. Work with vendors to ensure our naming rights and partnership opportunities are capitalized to their fullest extent.
  • Manage the Marketing Coordinator, responsible for creation and development of promotional efforts and signage for the physical delivery channels, e.g. multimedia, ITMs, and ATMs.
  • Continually review and ensure all marketing materials for display in the financial centers including light boxes, merchandising panels, inserts, posters, etc. are up-to-date and in good quality.
  • Continually review and ensure all financial center external signage is up-to-date and in good quality.
  • Serve as liaison for in-branch multi-media screen vendor, track all work tickets/down-time and evaluates the need to replace equipment and using discretionary authority to resolve issues related to equipment problems.
  • Update and load various forms, information and post electronic version of all marketing campaign elements for employee information and use.
  • Serve as point of contact and exercise judgment in coordinating special activities and events including groundbreakings, grand openings, etc. to ensure successful events.
  • Serve as promotions liaison and work with Marketing Coordinator to deliver all phases of staff education related to marketing activities.
  • Monthly reconcile budget for responsible expenses.
  • Provide regular reporting and performance updates for areas of responsibilities. Provide regular documented status updates.
  • Complete performance evaluations timely and accurately and make recommendations for employee advancements or disciplinary actions.
  • Approve timecards weekly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Read all internal publications, including HUB and Possibilities.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Marketing or Advertising. Equivalent work experience in the field of Marketing or Advertising may be substituted is required

Work Experience

  • 5-8 years Equivalent work experience is required.
  • 2-3 years Financial Institution experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be proficient with task management software. Asana is a major plus.
  • Frequent contact and direct interaction with sponsor groups, member representatives and vendors that requires a high degree of tact, friendliness and patience. Ability to develop and manage vendor relationships (printers, website host, multi-media provider, etc.)
  • Must present a high degree of poise and tact to represent the credit union in a professional and positive manner while representing Ascend.
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and a friendly, open, up-beat manner required in order to represent the credit union in a professional manner.
  • Strong and well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to express ideas effectively.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with the audience.
  • Excellent, accurate writing skills stressing composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Able to exercise judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with membership, department supervisors and staff.
  • High degree of organizational ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and completely while meeting deadlines.
  • Graphic design skills, experience with Adobe programs (PhotoShop, InDesign, etc.) a major plus.
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Ability to be trained in all areas of credit union operations, policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in PC applications of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe programs including Illustrator, Pro and Acrobat. Familiarity with HTML code and working with a WYSIWYG system for Webmaster tasks. Able to effectively use office machinery including a PC, telephone, calculator, and multifunction copier.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
