Description

Training Institute- Clinical Trainer Instructor

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Clinical Instructor join our Training Institute team. This position is responsible for delivering internal and external training courses serving People Incorporated staff and other partner organizations. Duties include facilitating training sessions, coaching, and consultation, and providing input on enhancements to internal and external training curricula. This role provides suitable solutions and options for internal and external workforces resulting in effective adult learning and application.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Ames Crossing: 3000 Ames Crossing Road, Suite 600, Eagan, MN 55121

  • Hybrid, at least two days in office. Some traveling throughout the state requried.

Hiring Range: $73,696 - $80,000 annually, plus $2,000 hiring bonus for external candidates

Main Job Duties:

1.) Provide high-quality competency-based training for workforces to leverage expertise and drive efficiency ensuring engaged staff who are well prepared to provide high quality services.

  • Deliver and create customized clinical and core training content to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure presentation material retains original integrity.
  • Demonstrates a high level of comfort with in-classroom and online remote learner platforms and processes.
  • Skilled in the use of PowerPoint, other presentation media, and Smart Board technology with a high level of skill and performance.
  • Ability to teach across the Training Institute Core Behavioral Health curriculum and customize as appropriate with customer need.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts both inside the organization to improve class content, instructional design, and evaluation.

2.) Support the team to ensure that revenue targets are met, stakeholder reputation is upheld, the Institute is seen as an expert in the field of mental health training, brand standards are met.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver training sessions for external partners, both off-the-shelf and customized and promote the Institute's services.
  • Review and update curriculum as needed, update presentation material to ensure that references, data, and statistics are no more than 3 years old.
  • Exhibits a high level of teamwork by willingly assisting others, maintaining a positive attitude, and prioritizing team goals over personal interests.
  • Seeks opportunities for self-development to improves one's skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • Seeks out and takes advantage of advanced training courses and literature to ensure developments in the behavioral health and training fields are incorporated into training curriculum as needed.
  • Provide coverage for unplanned absences for other members of the Training InstituteTeam.

3.) Ensure customer data is recorded accurately to inform trends in attendance, issues in the classroom, and feedback on the quality of training delivered.

  • Input training participant data into the appropriate database.
  • Report issues and problems to Training Institute Director.
  • Provide constructive feedback on the effectiveness of training materials.
  • Incorporate participant feedback to continually enhance and improve the training program.

4.) Other job expectations.

  • Work with People Incorporated staff to prepare training room and materials as required.
  • Attends all required and assigned meetings and trainings.
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Ability to attend in person meetings or trainings at different office locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in behavior sciences or Training and Development
  • Two years prior training and development experience in behavioral health or related fields

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with licensure - LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or higher degrees Ph.D, or Psy.D.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior training and development experience coming from the Behavioral Health field
