Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator/Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and optimizing high-performance IT infrastructures across various industries. The role involves implementing cybersecurity frameworks, overseeing multi-site deployments, and supporting migrations of complex systems and network operations. This hands-on systems engineer position will serve as part of the Compass Group Technology Integrations team, providing oversight, coordination, and delivering the activities supporting successful integration and migration of systems used by entities acquired by Compass Group.

The System Engineer role combines systems engineering skills with the ability to support a diverse team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of local and wide area networks for acquisition site migrations.
  • Administer end-user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure efficient and effective migrations.
  • Configure and address issues with Microsoft Active Directory security assessments.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient management of user data and identity across various systems, while providing support for data analysis, including discrepancy resolution for pre- and post-migration identity issues.
  • Ensure seamless data migration and integration across multiple tenants and maintain accurate and efficient communication systems. Integrate multiple Active Directory infrastructures using AD Trusts and multiple strategies.

Core Competencies:

  • Systems: Support knowledge for Windows Server (2003-2022), Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, Virtual Machines.
  • IT Infrastructure systems assessments and data migrations.
  • Cloud technology AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP.
  • Office 365, Microsoft Teams.
  • Network Management: Knowledge of network infrastructures for discovery and assessment. Generate SOWs for 3rd party implementations including hardware ordering.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Familiar with risk mitigation, penetration testing, patch management.
  • Strong leadership and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or 5+ years of IT Systems /Network Support
  • Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure and services in a senior role.
  • Experience with virtualization, network security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
