Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00/hour, DOE.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, and 40 hours per week. This is a temp-to-hire with the eligibility of full-time permanent placement with our manufacturing client.

This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan - must be 18 years of age to participate.

JOB SUMMARY:

GTAW Welders:

Goodwill Staffing has a premier aerospace manufacturing client, who is looking to hire welders that are experienced in GTAW, GMAW, Friction Stir Welding, RSW, and AWS QC1. If you have several years of recent experience, then we encourage you to apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • GTAW - Manual, Semi-Automated, Cladding, Overlay.
  • GTAW - Automated Longitudinal Seam and Orbital systems.
  • GMAW - Manual and Robotic (Vectis Cobot), Cladding, Overlay, Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing.
  • Friction Stir Welding - Rotary, Linear (75Kn spindle capable to welding 2 inch thick aluminum), AM
  • RSW - Spot.
  • AWS QC1 - CWI on staff.


Conventional Equipment / Assembly / Testing:



  • Passivation / Hydrostatic testing / Helium leak testing / Drum Drop Testing (up to 10,000 lb test capable).
  • Various bandsaws / tool room lathes / Surface grinder / Hone / Deburring / Arbor press .

Education:




  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Experience:

Materials and Weld Procedure Qualification Experience:



  • Welder qualifications experience on many qualification standards per customer requirements such as ASME BPVC Section IX, NAVSEA B2.1-8-308:2016, NAVSEA B2.1-1-301:2018, AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, D17.3, API1104, etc.
  • Experienced with Stainless Steels, Aluminum Alloys, Aluminum-Bronze, HSLA Steels, HY80 & HY100, Inconel, Hastelloy, Copper, Brass, Plastics.


Quality System:
