Our Commercial Space team is positioned to contribute to the future of space as we build partnerships with established leaders in Mars exploration systems. The Engineering Planner will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors with our partners that include Axiom Space, Intuitive Machines, Lockheed Martin, and others.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Planner will:

    Vertically integrate schedules and manage complex cross-linking of associated files
  • Manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and report on status of integrated tasks
  • Identify early gaps and risk areas to programs and work within tight schedule constraints
  • Become trusted advisors to Planning and Program Management teams


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS degree in Information Systems Management , Business Management, or similar from an accredited school and five (5) years of related engineering experience

- OR -

  • BS degree in Information Systems Management, Business Management, or similar from an accredited school and ten (10) years of related engineering experience

- OR -

  • BS degree in Information Systems Management, Business Management, or similar from an accredited school and fifteen (15) years of related engineering experience

  • Proficient in Project Management and strategic planning leading diverse personnel
  • Lead improvements and streamline operations via data-driven assessments
  • Knowledge and use of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Understanding of the project life-cycle
  • Experience working on cross-discipline engineering team Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional collaboration with customers and stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).

Preferences:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration
  • Experience with data science techniques
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Understanding of requirements verification process
  • Familiar with project specifications and plans
  • Management experience with diverse teams Project Management Professional (PMI) training
  • Experience with root-cause analysis

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
