Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Cyber, Defense and/or Aerospace products industry, along with the following.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Knowledge of development and coordination of marketing communication programs to promote the sale of company products and services and further the company's sales objectives and growth.
- Considerable knowledge of marketing communications, public relations, program and product marketing, trade shows, business development and technical/business issues.
- Proficiency in creating engaging and informative marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
- Proficient knowledge of marketing concepts practices and tools (such as CRM software, marketing automation tools, and analytic platforms) to support company value creation in the markets we serve
- Ability to enthusiastically evangelize GDMS Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems (SC&I) products and develop messaging to target markets and customers
- Knowledge of SC&I SNVP & PSP products and technologies including current and potential applications.
- Considerable understanding of the needs, strategies, and motivations of SC&I customers
- Supports the marketing team activities of a functional area and/or business area for the company
- Proficient written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Ability to present product marketing plans, campaigns and review results and progress
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of specific areas within assigned market, to include budgets, customer priorities, mission gaps, and market dynamics.
- Travel Requirements: up to 30%. Ability and willingness to travel to all marketing events and to GDMS corporate activities as required
- Capable of hands-on problem solving, with ability to engage and communicate with cross-functional teams comprised of Sales Management, Solution Architect Engineering, Support and Product Development
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
- Able to thrive in a highly interactive team environment
- Familiarity with government contracting practices and regulations regarding acquisition
- Can develop and propose solutions to a variety of marketing challenges of moderate scope and complexity, requiring data and situational analysis
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Product Marketing Specialist to join our team, to focus on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base and content. As a Product Marketing Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing and performing the following tasks within assigned markets and product areas:
Essential Job functions & Responsibilities:
- Key role in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns and product launches
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support product positioning.
- Develop and update marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and sales tools.
- Serve the product marketing team in facilitating cross-functional activities.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Assist in organizing and managing customer and partner events, webinars, and trade shows.
- Gather feedback from customers and partners to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to gather feedback and insights on marketing materials.
- Manage marketing databases and ensure accurate and up-to-date information of market analysis, competitive activity and customer needs/desires.
- Supports periodic reviews with Sales/Marketing leadership that present go-to market materials, content, messaging, strategies and results desired.
- Delivers consistent, professional product marketing and sales materials
- Creates information using appropriate distribution channels ranging from traditional print to digital and social media to drive business strategy for our capabilities and products
- Supports tradeshows, targeted direct selling events and technical symposia
- Performs analytical and research activities in support of the business development and acquisition, strategic planning, proposal development and/or marketing service functions
- Ensures all advertising is consistent with company branding guidance and upholds the company's reputation
- Provide administrative support to the product marketing team as needed.
Target salary range: USD $108,374.00/Yr. - USD $117,264.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
