The Laboratory Clerk will support the Research & Development Department at the Northfield, IL office.




  • Washes lab glassware, fills solvent containers, stocks lab supplies, and empties glassware bins.
  • Provides chemical waste disposal support.
  • Responds to requests from laboratory staff.
  • Actively participates in safety/waste programs and steadfastly adheres to safety policies/standards.
  • Participates in the upkeep and inspections of the Chemical Waste Room and the Flammable Supply Room.
  • Provides support in the restocking and cleaning of safety glasses.
  • Support upkeep of Laboratory Inventory System.
  • Manages the collection and shipment of gloves for recycling.
  • Partners with Research & Development Environment Health Safety Group to identify and address issues.
  • Provides Front Reception Desk Backup support.



Qualifications



  • High School Diploma
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Must be willing to learn database and web applications.
  • Must be able to work in Northfield, IL and/or Northbrook, IL Office
  • Must be able to balance multiple job demands
  • Must have an attention to detail and possess good organization and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to maneuver 55-gallon drums.
