Job Summary

Glendale Community College (GCC) is seeking a Workforce Development Analyst Sr. for the Academic Affairs Office to support Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to coordinate and support various Workforce development initiatives. The position involves working on a wide range of projects that enhance CTE programs, foster high school and industry partnerships, promote program innovation, and contribute to enrollment and retention efforts.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with external agencies and the business community, participating in CTE Program Advisory Council meetings, conducting advanced research and analysis, and participating in economic development activities. The Workforce Development Analyst Sr. will also facilitate Workforce development efforts by connecting students, employees, and employers.

Essential Functions

30% - Supervision and Leadership - Coordinates and leads projects related to career and technical education such as program assessment and review, advisory council meetings, high school partnerships, scholarship programs, grant initiatives, Workforce development programs, partnership agreements, strategic planning. Manages cross-functional project teams.

30% - Workforce Planning and Project Management - Develops new workforce projects. Monitors quality standards and performance measures; Ensures projects are accomplished in accordance with established specifications and funding requirements; Addresses project issues and provides recommended solutions.

20% - Communication - Researches, develops and delivers communications, training materials and/or presentations to faculty, staff, administrators and external partners. Develops and maintains business relationships and partnerships with external agencies and the business community.

15% - Research and Data Analysis - Researches academic and industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluates data analytics reporting and collaborates with stakeholders. Assists with grant opportunities and prepares funding proposals. Administers and tracks grant progress as assigned.

5% - Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business, public administration or related field and four years of professional economic development or directly related experience.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications
  1. Four (4) or more years of experience working with career and technical education programs, including roles such as teaching in a career and technical program, promoting Workforce Development programs, establishing internship/externship opportunities, or working in career services.
  2. Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience developing high school, community, and/or industry partnerships
  3. Two (2) or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  4. Two (2) years of experience in program development and/or project management
  5. One (1) or more years working with grant development and/or grant projects
  6. One (1) or more years of researching, implementing, and/or presenting on career and technical programs or workforce initiatives


Special Working Conditions

  • Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
  • Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations
  • May require numerous evenings or weekends
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
