Requisition ID# 164641 Job Category: Information Technology Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Operations - Other Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Concord; Fresno; Rocklin Department Overview This is a key role on a small, high-performing, and dynamic team building the future of PG&E's electrical grid that will reliably and safely deliver affordable and clean energy to our customers and communities. The Grid Operations, Applications, and Transformation (GOAT) team is dedicated to implementing and maintaining PG&E's Operational Technology including the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), which is fundamental to a sustainable energy future and the Grid of Tomorrow. We are seeking an accomplished, integrity-driven, diverse, and collaborative individual to take on the critical Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) Expert role. Position Summary The Scada Expert will be responsible for performing complex analysis associated with Electric Scada systems. This individual will provide application solutions and aid the Scada team, customers and other key stakeholders. Conduct system wide auditing, migration, and administration. Test and implement new version vendor application releases. Maintain and support existing SCADA systems, addressing issues, and ensuring optimal performance. SCADA expert needs a strong understanding of electrical systems, SCADA technologies, communication protocols, and programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, 2176, DNP3). This individual will develop and sustain excellent stakeholder relationships with functional business partners to improve and sustain quality performance to ensure the safe, reliable and accurate Scada data delivery. In this role the individual will be solution driven, expected to communicate clearly, professionally and regularly to Leadership, Scada team, customers and other key stakeholders. Working with the Scada team this individual will share Quality Assurance assessments/results in a manner that is actionable and helps to drive improvement/consistency. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in diverse teams and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in applying analytical tools, methodologies, and frameworks to solve complex issues and will have strong strategic thinking skills.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. Bay Minimum: $126,000 &/OR CA Minimum: $120,000 This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs. Job Responsibilities
