This job implements and maintains the company's Point of Care Testing Program at assigned facility, including coordinating point of care testing operations to ensure reliable patient testing and timely services. This job monitors POC specific Performance Improvement /Quality Control activities, exhibits knowledge of and adherence to Institution/Department policies and procedures. Oversees testing personnel competency with documentation, compliance and inspection readiness for CLIA, CAP, JCAHO and any other laboratory accrediting agencies inspecting Point of Care Testing.Education Required -Bachelor's degree Work Experience Required -5 years laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist Preferred - Experience with regulatory agency accreditation inspections Certifications Required -Current Louisiana license or temporary license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist Meets CLIA and CAP requirements for testing personnel relative to scope of duties ASCP certification or equivalent as a Medical Technologist Any incumbent certified by ASCP on or after January 1, 2004 must successfully complete the requirements of the ASCP's Certification Maintenance Program Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
