Gearbox Mechanic

Work You'll Do:
* Operate a variety of machinery (parts, washer, metal lathe, bead blaster, etc.) to blueprint specifications
* Use job specific hand tools along with precision measuring tools
* Lift, position, and transport work piece with hoist and forklift. Must be able to lift 50+
* Keep records of gearboxes, inspections, serial numbers, evaluations, locations, etc.
* Maintain equipment in good working condition reporting on issues, malfunctions, or defective parts
* Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance
* Other duties may be assigned

Basic qualifications
* Must be able to read and speak English
* Must have assembly experience 1+ years
* Must be able to use precision measuring tools
* Must be able to read blueprint 1+ years
* 1+ years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Manufacturing paint gun experience 6 months- year

Preferred Qualifications:
* Forklift experience preferred
* 2+ years of assembly and 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
* Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team player
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met
* Ability to perform and interpret computer and RF functions
* Ability to learn new skills at a fast pace
* Basic computer skills
* High school diploma or GED required; technical school training desired
* Ability to learn precision measuring tools
