Compensation / Benefits

  • $13.21-$21.58/hr based on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $1.50/hr.
  • Night differential $1.75/hr.
  • Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Our Women's and Children's Team is currently looking for a highly motivated individual, ready for a fast-paced environment who strives to deliver the best experience to our patients. Must work well as part of a supportive and positive team, while being very capable of multi-tasking and impeccable time management. Our team provides comprehensive care on our 28 bed unit to postpartum women and their newborns (greater than 35 weeks gestation), antepartum, gynecological and pediatric (0-18 years old) patients. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical, emotional, and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patient population.

Job Summary

  • Provides basic patient care.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
  • Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
  • Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.
  • Facilitates processing of patients
  • Provides clerical receptionist support
  • Provides Coordinating Support
  • Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.

Experience

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

  • Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
